Planes, Trains, and Automobiles

After twenty days of travel and sharing in three different countries, on two different continents, I am back home. We worked with Sports Fan Outreach International as we shared the Gospel at IAAF World Championship Games, we also shared the Gospel at Edinburgh, Scotland’s Fringe Festival , and then we went to encourage missionaries in the Middle East.

Here is the Harvest Field Report:
50,000- People heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a ten day period
2,455- Tracts were given out
63- Gospel Conversations took place with Muslims, Atheist, Hebrew Israelite’s, etc…
1- Bible was given out
1- Profession of faith by Neils pray that he would bear fruit proving his profession was genuine

The more I traverse God’s green earth, the more I see the three types of people that Paul faced in Mars Hill. I have traveled and shared the Gospel in America’s biggest and smallest cities, the wet cobblestone sidewalks of Scotland, the historic sidewalks of London, and I have traveled into the Middle Eastern country with its dusty dry streets and alleys to encourage Christian brethren.

There are three types of people that I run into everywhere I go:  those who mock, those who want to know more, and those who believe.

“Now when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some began to sneer, but others said, “We shall hear you [a]again concerning this.” 33 So Paul went out of their midst. 34 But some men joined him and believed, among whom also were Dionysius the Areopagite and a woman named Damaris and others with them.” Acts 17:32-34.

In Scotland we had a missionary family open their home for us to stay and we proclaimed the Gospel there for two days and engaged all three types of people with the truth of the Gospel. This video will give you a brief glimpse into our time in Scotland. From Scotland we traveled to London where, for 10 days, we saturated the streets with the glorious Gospel.

Let me tell you a brief story of each of these three types from Acts 17:32-33.

The Mocker
I was preaching in Stratford Station when I heard a guy screaming. It was unintelligible for about twenty seconds until he got close enough to decipher what was being said. He was yelling profanities and telling me how much he hated God. This gentlemen ( I hesitate to call him that) hated God and the fact that I was standing as an ambassador for the one true living God so he decided to unleash on me verbally as he went to catch his bus. This is not uncommon.  Jesus said in John 15:18 “If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you.”  What an honor to be verbally persecuted for standing for Jesus.

Those who want to know more
Darrell is a young man who has grown up in a Christian family but has never repented and placed his faith in Christ. He asked several questions and was very attentive as I used God’s Word to answer him. He stayed around for an hour listening to the Gospel message preached by several Gospel preachers.Help us make sure the Gospel goes to mockers and those who want to know more by supporting what we do. Click Here

Those who believe
As we saturated the area around Stratford Station in London with the Gospel message, a gentleman with a smile on his face approached me. He told me that he had been praying just that morning that the Lord would give him a new place to share the Gospel and brothers to encourage him. He “just so happened” to get off the bus near where we were. God providently directed his steps right to Stratford Station. He was so encouraged that he came back two days in a row to share the Gospel with us.

Sharing the Gospel with these types of people brings different types of challenges but it is all harvest field work that we all should thoroughly enjoy. This short video gives you an idea of our time in London.

My Time in the Middle East
After London I headed to the Middle East. I was with a team that we will call the Flower Town Team in order to keep their location concealed. They are working in the Middle East and are the only witnesses to 4 million in a heavily populated Muslim community.
On this trip I learned that my role as an Evangelist is not always to share the Gospel.  Sometimes I am to go in and encourage others to remain faithful to the Gospel message within their context. I could not speak the language, but I could encourage the others who could. They were so appreciative of my having made the effort to be there to encourage them.

The Flower Town team is working among 4 million people who have never heard the Gospel. The average missionary there lasts only about three months due to the living conditions: Flower Town is the slums, with very poor living conditions. This team started five years ago and is teaching English as a second language to 75 people. Here is one of my journal entries from an average day.

I met Lila who wants to go to Germany to study to be a doctor once she finishes her education in the Middle East. Lila has asked for an Arabic Bible and is going to start studying the Injeel with one of the team. Their Community Center is a modest three story office building in Flower Town. Each floor has a conference room that serves as a classroom to teach English to people living in the area. This is an amazing work that the Lord has established right in the middle of an unreached people group.

How can you help? First of all, you can pray for the team and their safety daily. Second, you or maybe someone from your church can give six months of their time to serve this team with boots on the ground in Flower Town. It would involve supporting the Flower Town Community Center by helping in the office doing administrative work and helping teach English.  Experience is not required as this team has taught English so long they can easily train you quickly.

Who should go? Preferably men who can adapt to different living conditions and have a burden for serving missionaries that are working in a pioneer missionary environment. If you are interested in this opportunity, email for more details.  While men are preferred, woman will not be excluded. If you are a woman and feel the Lord leading you in this direction, please contact me.

Thank you, partners for making trips like this possible. It is an honor to serve our amazing Savior in this capacity. Thank you for allowing me to go out and to proclaim the Gospel to see a life transformed. Go and do likewise. Would you like personal training on how to share your faith in Jesus? Go proclaim the Gospel to see a life transformed.

May the Lord Bless You!
