Four Things I Know at 40 Years Old

Fearing and trying to impress people is a futile and worthless exercise. (Proverbs 29:25- The fear of man brings a snare, But he who trusts in the LORD will be exalted. Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.)
The grace of Jesus to forgive and be forgiven is what makes life and relationships possible. (Ephesians 4:32 Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.)
Having a spouse who wants to grow in her relationship with Jesus and her husband is all you need in a spouse. (Ephesians 5:26 so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word,)
My relationship with the great triune God and how I serve Him, serve others, and rest in Him is all that will last. (Psalms 128:1 How blessed is everyone who fears the LORD, Who walks in His ways.)
