Every Man-Made Movement and False Belief Will Fail- Part 1

As I write this month’s article, my heart is heavy for mankind. I plan to write a five-part series from Matthew 5:33­–37.  We are no better than any other group that has existed together since the beginning of creation.

Why? Look at what we are doing.

Men are calling themselves women, and women are calling themselves men, a child in the State of New York can now be killed anytime in the third trimester, political tensions are at a fever pitch, religious zealots killing in the name of their god, and the list can go on but I will stop for now. This article will bring comfort and healing to some and in infuriate others. I hope over the next five months to show why all man-made movements will fail.

1. In the long run, you know who rejects the truth

 “Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit.” Matt 12:33

Next time you are out and about, just take some time to sit down and observe the people walking past you. Don’t stalk them—that’s just weird and wrong. But observe them; on the outside, they have it all together. However, they are just like you and me.

They struggle with getting mad when they should not, they have fears about what news they will get at the next Doctors appointment, and they have family relationships that are strained. At the locus of their life, there is a need to be remade. This is one reason why all man-made movements or false religions will fail. This world is comprised of people who need to be remade.

Look at the fruit of your life. Be honest with yourself and take time to stop and slow down. Look at what and why you are doing something. Quit lying to yourself. Why does Jesus say, “Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit.” Matt 12:33

There is such a thing as good and bad when you have an absolute standard to base it off of like the one true God. This is one of the reasons why man-made movements will fail. Their movement is not based on this truth. They will end up imploding. It may take more time with some movements than others, but they will all crumble eventually.

1. Rejecting truth leads to self-imposed autonomy, proving you need to be remade

Do you believe you determine what is good or bad? If so, this is proof that you are lying to yourself. I love you enough to expose your false reality of self-imposed autonomy. You are not the originator of good and bad; although, you constantly produce bad fruit in your life.

You need a good outside of your small, false reality to invade your shadow world and show you the world you are really in: God’s world. Yes, a good God made you and everything around you. He allows you to make sense of the bad you see within you and the world around.

See, if everything is just subjective, there is no such thing as good or evil, male or female. Cancer is not good or bad, it just is. School shootings are no better or worse than eating ice cream, taking life in the womb is no better or worse than shooting someone in cold blood in the Walmart parking lot because they took your parking spot.

This is why man-made movements lead to complete chaos and disorder. Every man doing what he feels is right in his own heart.

When you reject absolute truth found in the one true living God, you unchain yourself from true goodness. And rejecting him will bring the reality of the above paragraph. Made inherently sinful. You are made inherently sinful. You came out of the womb craving to have your selfish desires met and the only way it will stop is if God makes you good.

Look at your heart and ask? What have you either done or thought in the last twenty-four hours? If you claim to be a Christian this can be a check up to see if you are truly born again. If not, repent and place your faith in Jesus. If so, this will be good to show where the Holy Spirit is working to kill sin in you.

1. The List that proves what is needed

Compare your life to Galatians 5:20–21: Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Get a notepad and write this down:

• Immorality/impurity: Have you cheated on your spouse watching pornography? Have you cheated on your spouse with another person? Have you had sex outside of the marriage bed?

• Sensuality: Have you just been full of lust for money, sex, position, power, and unbridled in some of the things you do? Do you cross-dress and are emboldened when you do so? Have you murdered your baby so that you could continue having sex without being pregnant? Are you either transgender or homosexual?

• Idolatry: How much time and money do you spend on sports, music, concerts, false religious events?

• Sorcery: Do you practice witchcraft? Playing with Ouija boards, fortune tellers, conjuring the dead, angel cards, and satanic rituals?

• Enmities: Do you hold grudges and speak badly about people to make them look bad to either cause them harm or plan harm against them?

• Strife: Do you go around either causing arguments or arguing just to set people in opposition?

• Jealousy: Do you envy a person’s life and trying to do anything you can to have it or destroy theirs?

• Outburst of anger: Are you constantly flying off the handle at every little thing that you don’t agree with?

Continue down through the list and when you get to the end, if are really honest, you will see who you really are and the false reality you have created. Don’t reject the truth. The man-made movement or false religion that you are apart is doomed. What group are you apart of? Social Injustice (Woke Movement), LGBTQ, Black Lives Matter, ANTIFA, Make America Great Again, Mormons, Muslims, Jehovah Witnesses, Buddhist, Hindus, Atheist?

I can’t name them all. But why are they all bound to fail? Because the people that make them need to be remade. They are bad trees that need to be made good by the God that gave Jesus as the satisfactory substitute for sin.

1. We are not better, just better off because of the renewing power of Jesus

I know what you are saying; “you legalist, you Christians always think you are better than everybody else.” Nope. We are not better. In our previous lives before Christ, we were just like you. We are better off because we have been forgiven and made a new tree. See, the cause of Christ is the only thing that changes a person gives purpose in their lives and in return preserves and advances God’s kingdom on this earth.

Some of you are saying, “You are the religious zealot that you spoke of in the first paragraph of your article. Shut up and go away!” I have to disagree. I have, by God’s grace, submitted to the God that makes life, logic, rationale, and scientific laws plausible.

A lot of movements and false religions have some truth in them, but they only make sense within the context of a God who does not change and that has communicated and created. The spark of truth that you find in these movements are robbing elements from the Christian God.

In close, this is my first installment to why all man-made movements and false religions will fail. Next month, we will read about why it is important to hear someone out to determine what he or she believes.
