I was born and raised in Brazil. In November of 2017, I partnered with two local Baptist churches in Maputo, to plant a church together. After recruiting six of their best youth, I trained these brothers and sisters to be urban church planters, and in April of 2018, the Open Door Baptist fellowship was planted. ODBF is a thriving Mozambican Church led exclusively by Mozambicans. In March of this year (2023), in partnership with ODBF, our family and two other couples were commissioned to plant a new church in Matola. Praise God, the work is growing healthy, and on Dec 17, we will have our first round of Baptisms and the first celebration of the Lord's Supper as an organized congregation.
