I was raised in a home that attended church but without evidence of salvation for either my parents or siblings.  My brother had an experience at work as a teenager and shared his experience with my mom.  Convicted on what she heard, my mom began reading the bible and came to Christ in the late 70’s after I was out of the house in college.  My dad came to the Lord in 1980, along with some of my siblings in the 80’s.  In 1992, my dad and I were in Atlanta, GA for a ‘Braves weekend’, and attended 1st Baptist Church on Sunday when the Holy Spirit came into my heart.

My wife Sally came to the Lord in the early 1980’s, and has been an encouragement to me over the 34 years we have been married.  We have 3 daughters, Jennifer (husband Billy), Sarah (husband John), and Kate (husband Brooks), along with three grandchildren – John Duke, Sadie Kate, and Hadley.  What a great joy it is to see believing children marry godly spouses and begin having families of their own.

I have been an employee of Dillon Supply Company for more than 36 years, working in several roles.  In addition to GGM, I serve as an Elder at Open Door Church in Raleigh, and in various other capacities both in church and the community.
